I regularly presented a daytime show and specialist show on CSRFM from September 2011 to June 2015. I produced all of the imaging for the show which included beds, jingles and promos. After each show, I created a podcast and uploaded it onto the shows Facebook/Twitter page which can be listened to here.

Below is my radio demo. I won an award from CSR for "Best Newcomer" and was runner up for "Best off-air contribution". I was also nominated for "Best Newcomer" at the National Student Radio awards in 2012 where I made to the final six candidates.

Fun Kids Radio is a digital radio station based in London. After sending a demo for a feature idea: "What Object Am I?", I was giving a month to create a ten week package for the station. The feature was a simple game aimed at children; I composed and produced a song and the listeners guessed what object was singing the song. Below are five examples of the feature but in total there are ten different songs.

I produced a Halloween jingle and bed for WCCR radio station at Purdue University, Indiana. I took the generic Halloween riff which I recorded into Logic Pro using a MIDI keyboard. After I had the simple melody, I built it up using several layers of instruments, audio effects, synthesisers and plug-ins. The vocal part was a recording of my voice but manipulated using pitch bend, equalisation and the space designer tool within Logic Pro to add to the sinister tone.

I am highly involved within CSRfm both on-air and off-air, my experience within CSRfm includes:

  • Programming Manager from October 2011 to September 2012. As Programming Manager I managed the Programming Team, was responsible for sceduling the music for the station on a day-to-day basis, organised and ran training sessions for new presenters and was an Excetuive Director on the Canterbury Youth and Student Media Board of Directors.

  • Presenting and producing charity events such as #AwakeFor48: Going Live for Catching Lives and Children in Need

  • Helping run outside broadcasts such as Lounge on the Farm festival and Keynestock festival, which included presenting, producing and marketing

  • Writing reviews for new releases and albums as part of the music team, see review: http://www.csrfm.com/index.php/reviews/john-cale/ â€‹
